Gamerstorm website will be made available in a new language! Also, Happy Halloween!

Since we haven't updated our site in a while and that right now, we have nothing worth posting, I'm going to do a side project for the website, I am going to make a Scots version of it! Just because I can, really! The internet needs more website in Scots, anyway! This also means our games will also be available in Scots, badly translated by myself!

Also with every post I'll put on Facebook, I will put a Scots version of the summary underneath the English one, similar to how the Barcelona page put their summaries in Catalan and Spanish!

I am not by any means a fluent speaker, but as a Scotsman, I know quite a bit of it, and since I'm getting a wee bit tired of starting at the Scots Wikipedia and Wikionary websites, I wanted to practice my not-previously-known (limited) ability to speak/write and understand this language. I may also get Steven, a fellow admin, to help out on this project, as he too is Scottish and knows a bit of Scots.

So yeah, we'll see how that goes, and I hope Scots speakers approve once it's done. If anyone know Scots better than us and has suggestion to improve anything, feel free to contact us, we won't bite! Well, I might!

Also, happy Halloween everybody! Unfortunately, I've been too busy with Rossies 2 to celebrate the occasion...

Happy 5th Birthday Gamerstorm! Also, my PC got fixed, and Rossies 2 is well underway into development!

Before I type anything, my PC got fixed ages ago, but it had been gone for so long that I forgot all about the website, and forgot to tell youse when it got fixed that it got fixed, if that makes sense... the point is, it's fixed!

Happy 5th Birthday Gamerstorm, has it really been that long? Have I really achieved so little in so long? Seems like it!
Unfortunately, I've forgotten all about it, no surprises there, and haven't got anything prepared for it, I am so cruel...

However, I can tell youse that Rossies 2 is officially in development... again! This time, I won't have any big story, or anything too special in this game, as this is just a starting point for me, I have much bigger planned, I have a Rossies story prepared for a bigger project. Hopefully, this all means Rossies 2 shouldn't take long to make...

That's all I have for youse right now, here's to 5 more years of doing nothing!

A bit of bad news, but it could've been worse...

I haven't had the time to post this article, as this happened a good while ago, because, well, the PC I was using to make both Rossies 2 and Keno the cat has broken down...

Luckily, I have backed up both games in their entirety on a memory stick! So not all hope is lost, just some of it! Once, or rather if, my PC gets fixed, I can simply pick up where I left off.

This post is to inform anyone who cares that, for the time being, all Gamerstorm games are not in development.

I hope the PC will get fixed soon, otherwise, I might have to delay the games release dates, because when it comes to indie development, it seems that every second of development counts, because you're doing it all yourself.

So I'll post an update once the PC does get fixed, there won't be anything else to post until then anyway, so it's guaranteed the next post will be that, and hopefully, that will come pretty soon...

A slight change of plan, and this time, I actually mean slight.

Just a quick update telling you what's happening with us, we've decided to change our schedule just a little bit.

Well, not really a schedule, but you know, basically, we're going to start working on two games, but not at once, what we mean is, we'll work on Keno the Cat, but if we ever lose the motivation to continue, we'll work on Rossies 2, yes, that's right, Rossies 2 is back in development!

This time, we can actually fulfil those promises we made, with 3D cutscenes and such now that I have the knowledge on how to model 3D models.

I just thought we'd tell you this, for now, Keno the Cat is not in development, but once we lose interest in making Rossies 2, we'll go back to Keno the cat, and once we lose interest in that, we'll go back to Rossies 2, understand now?

Since we've lost the original code for the game, it was messy and unreadable anyway, we'll start from the ground up, and improve on it as I am more experienced in coding.

Also, we might as well tell youse this now, but the Rossies series will now have a main protagonist! We're not giving anything away about him (or her?) just yet...

So hopefully, this will turn out to be a good decision, or better yet, we hope someone actually reads this...

Keno the Cat Development blog #4 - let there be... umm, gravity?

I'm back with an update with my game, to tell youse how I'm doing.

This is the first development blog posted here, but I've been posting a couple more before only on the Gamerstorm website, I've been too lazy to post them here, until now!

I've now created a working and somewhat robust game engine, I've done running, jumping and the level scrolling, which is a lot harder than you think to do that, I won't explain because chances are you'd have no idea what I'm talking about, but I have the whole platforming thing covered, and I'm close to completing crouching. After that, I'm moving on to the combat.

I've also made a new page on the website, I've added a characters page, head over to the website to check it out.

That's all I've been doing, but the former of the two is very time consuming, so I couldn't do much else, oh well, see youse in the next blog...

RCW's 5th Birthday is coming up!

For those who have been following us for years (there's probably no one left!) will be familiar with Region-Free Console Wrestling (RCW), it was called International Console Wrestling (ICW) back then is that helps ring a bell.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, you can check the RCW section of our "About Us/History" Page, that has everything covered, if you want to watch the videos: Click Here.

"What about it?" You may be asking, well, Saturday (April 21st) will mark RCW's 5th anniversary! Even though there hasn't been anything RCW related made in 3 years, I want to do something special for it's 5th birthday, or at least something for that matter, big or small, I'm going to do something for it's 5th birthday, mark my words! Problem is, I don't even know what I could do...

Keno the Cat Chronicles - Issue 2 - Page 7 is out!

Here's Page 7 of my comic out, and it will be my last for a while.

If you missed my last post, I've had a change of plan, I originally intended to finish all the comics before working on the game, however, I didn't know it would take me so long to do them, so I've decided to stop doing the comics, and go straight to developing the game, and then finish off the comics once I'm done, to make up for this delay, I will be doing a third issue, which will cover the first scene of the game.

I'm looking for someone to do the sprites and 3D models for the game, because knowing my lack of skills in the graphics department of development, it would take me half the year to do those alone, so if someone is willing to do those, it would be much appreciated, however, no one has to, I could do them myself, but again, it would take me ages to do them.

I'm hoping to get the game out by late 2012, or at the latest, early 2013, so I'm going to have to actually stop laying around, being a lazy sh*te, and actually get to work.

A Slight Change of Plan...

A post on the Gamerstorm website that's not about a new Keno the Cat comic page!? That's unheard of!

My original plan for my new Keno the Cat project is to do a mini comic series before I start development on the game itself, sure, this might've been a stupid idea, as the comic were only a side project to help "Hype" up the game and wasn't necessary, but I thought since it was a mini series, it would do me a couple of months at the very most.

However, as we've discovered, it's taken me far longer than that, almost a year! So I've decided to just start develop on the game, and do the comics after, because the game itself is more important, right?

I won't be leaving Gamerstorm deserted to collect dust, no, if you've been reading my Retro Blog (and if you've never heard of it; Here's a link.) you would know that every Sunday, I write a feature that's about my retro gaming activity that week.

Well, I'm thinking of doing something similar here but on a different week, probably a Monday, as I'm off then, that will be about my games development activity, not sure what to call it, but that's not important, at least with this, I can make sure to progress in some form or another in development so I can have something to write about.

I will be releasing one more comic page before this plan goes into action, and that comic is nearly done, and should be uploaded sometime this week, the rest of the comic will be finished after the game itself, to make up for thus, I will be doing a 3rd issue when the game is finished, which will be the beginning of the game's first scene.

Hopefully by doing this, I will be able to finish this game by the end of this year. (Touchwood.)

Keno the Cat Chronicles - Issue 2 - Page 6 is out!

First of all, Happy Late New Year to you all!

I'm not holding back, I'll admit, the reason this took so long is because I've been lazy, I haven't been working on them much at all, don't worry, I think I'm back on top form, if that's the case, page 7 should be out sometime next week.

However, I can say that now my comics will be of a more consistent size and thanks to my new scanner, I can get these comics out quicker, so hopefully, I should have finished it all by the end of next month, fingers crossed...

Anyway, here's the comic:

Image available only on the Gamerstorm website!

To catch up on the comic series (That is if you actually want to), go to the Keno the Cat Official website, link to it are located at the home page or the "Our Games" page, and then click on "Story".

Page 7 should be out sometime next week, although knowing me, I'll probably be way off.
